With nothing but $300 to my name, no plan just a dream. I woke up one morning and booked a bus ticket from Atlanta to NYC and left everything behind. No place to stay and no job. I was riding MTA at night with my bags trying to

figure out what I was going to do. This was the riskiest move and leap of faith I had ever took in my life and it shaped me.

Good morning. Go confidently in the direction of your dreams! Live the life you've imagined! - Thoreau

Rev Run

That was the message I received in my email from Rev Run. That was the confirmation I had been praying on.
So the next day I moved.
I didn't know anything about New York.
I was in the jungle. My shy old sensitive self was far away from my comfort zone.
But I was determined I was going to make it. My parents, friends and family never
knew I made what they would have called such a dumb move at the time. It took almost 2 weeks before I landed a job right before I almost got to my last dime. I was able to talk my way into renting a room like a week in. After sleeping in bus stations and on trains with my bags thinking I was fooling someone acting like I was on my way to the airport or something.
Once the job came that's when everything just fell in order. New York has built my character and confidence in a way that open doors. So many blessings has come my way since living in New York. Though I have tried moving a few times to explore other places I notice God keep bringing me back and when i'm here I just feel so motivated.
From homeless to renting and now working on owning a home.
God is good!!
Thank you I really appreciate you.
